Referrals, for businesses and professionals
You make the introduction. We do the rest.
You sit across from business owners all day. Some of them need a website and you don’t build websites. Point them at us and take 10% of the build fee, for a conversation that cost you five minutes.
The arrangement
Written down, so nobody has to guess.
What you get
- 10% of the build fee on any custom build or Shopify store that lands, excluding VAT and third-party costs. On a €4,500 store that is €450 for an introduction that took you five minutes.
- €100 one-off on every managed plan that signs, at any tier. Commission is paid on build fees only, never on recurring fees.
- Paid within seven days of the client’s first payment clearing, against your invoice.
- Told the outcome either way. You'll never wonder what happened to someone you sent.
What we take on
- The whole conversation from the first call onwards. You are out of it the moment you make the introduction.
- Design, build, launch, technical SEO, hosting and the domain.
- Support after launch. Our name is on the site, so the client comes to us, not you.
- The risk if a client goes quiet or changes their mind. None of that lands on you.
Being straight about the trade-off
We don't white-label. The site is built and credited as Cwd.studio.
You don't mark it up or own the client relationship afterwards.
If you want your own name on the work, we're the wrong studio and we'll say so on the call.
The fine print, in plain words
- Businesses and professionals only. Agencies, studios, freelancers and anyone who can issue an invoice. Not open to individuals referring friends or family.
- One short agreement, signed once before your first payout. No minimum, no exclusivity.
- No discounts on our behalf. The commission is yours. It can’t be passed to the client as money off.
- Introduce first. Send us the name before they contact us, and we confirm it in writing the same working day.
How it runs
Four steps, and three of them are ours.
01
You introduce us
A WhatsApp message with a name and a number is enough. Copy us in or just send the details over.
02
We log it
Confirmed back to you the same working day, so the referral is on record before anyone speaks to anyone.
03
We handle it
Call, quote, build, launch. You hear from us when it lands or when it doesn't, and nothing in between unless you ask.
04
You get paid
Within seven days of their deposit clearing. Bank transfer, Revolut, whatever suits you.
Referrals stay credited to you for six months from the introduction, so if someone takes their time deciding, you still get paid when they come back.
Who this is for
A good fit
- Photographers and videographers whose clients need somewhere to put the work
- Anyone in Europe with a client who needs a site and no one to build it
- Branding and graphic designers who deliver a logo and get asked “and the website?”
- Marketing and social people running ads into a page that doesn't convert
- Accountants, printers and suppliers who hear about every new business in town first
- Developers with more enquiries than evenings
Who it isn't
Probably not a fit
- Anyone reselling €500 websites. The maths doesn't work for either side and we'll say so on the first call rather than the third.
- Agencies who need their own name on the build. That's white-label, and we don't do it.
- Introductions where nobody has actually asked the business owner if they want a website.
- Individuals referring friends or family. The programme is for businesses and professionals.
Questions
Before you send anyone.
We'll tell you straight away, before you spend any effort on it. If they're already in our inbox the referral doesn't apply, and you'll know within the day rather than finding out at invoice time.
Once. A one-page referral agreement, signed before your first payout, so the terms are clear for both sides. There’s no minimum and no exclusivity, and you can refer to other studios as well.
Send them our way. We’d be glad to help. The commission, though, is for businesses and professionals who introduce clients as part of their work, so a personal introduction doesn’t earn one.
On a straight introduction, 10% is the number and it is the same for everyone. If you're bringing a brief, the content and the client management as well, that's a different arrangement and worth a conversation. Tell us what you're actually doing and we'll price it honestly.
No. We don't approach anyone in your book that you haven't handed us, and we don't sell them services you already provide. Our name is on every site we build, and behaving otherwise would end the business fast.
Ours to deal with. That's the point of the arrangement. You made an introduction, not a promise, and nothing about a project going sideways comes back to you.
Send one over
Tell us about your business first.
Your business, and who you’re introducing. We confirm the referral in writing the same working day and send the agreement with it.
